I remember seeing that jumbo Love-a-Lot when the Environmentals came out! Toys R' Us was selling it for...get this....$49.99. I understand why my parents wouldn't get it for me but ohhhh, if I had it now!! There is also a Canadian flag version out there of jumbo Proud Heart

Neither one is particularly comfortable to look at (neither is the Canadian Proud Heart Bear)...but I can certainly see why they are so exciting from a collector's viewpoint! They are rather rare and hard to find! Plus, if you do like the Environmental Bears, these would absolutely be a wonderful edition to anyone's collection!

Do they have a Japanese version of Proud Heart? (One with Japan's flag?) |

"Not every lost soul is a lost cause." -Bizenghast series Number of Care Bear Quizes taken: 5 Results: 1) Environmental Grumpy Bear 2) Wish Bear 3) Good Luck Bear 4) Bedtime Bear 5) Tenderheart Bear "Being in a cartoon is so much fun." Apparently, Beastly is aware he is not real is and he just broke the 4th wall by stating he is in a cartoon. This quote comes from the Nelvana episode "Hearts at Sea". <- This is my custom, Kawaii Bear. It's tummy symbol is Japanese for Japan. | |

I rehosted the images in the first post (although I'm not sure those were the exact images)...but I'm certain it was those 2 Environmentals that were mentioned. Also, here is another image of the Environmenta Love-A-Lot that gives a better view of the actual size these bears are!

That's actually my bear ![]() From what i can figure out with these, they were never actually sold as a mass produced item. These were used in stores as promotional material, and I believe most were given away in some kind of a contest or draw. The one I have (pictured) came from someone here locally who said they had won it, but didn't want it anymore. I was lucky to get it. It was an ebay auction, but it was local pickup only, so nobody else bid on it. I've never seen another one like it, so its likely very very few of them were made. haha thats my bear ![]() Edited by Raqoon, May 25 2009, 05:16 PM.
